CAMERON COUNTY: BEWARE!

 

John Chambers for Sheriff of Cameron County has a history of harassing & stalking young women.

The article from the Amarillo Global-News we posted on Facebook, which Chambers claimed was fake, but we later verified was authentic, describes an incident where Chambers went into a woman’s store despite her previous request to stay away. When she told Chambers to leave, he refused, and was arrested for trespassing. He had just been fired by the Gruver Police Department.

The newspaper says the woman refused to comment. She probably refused to testify too. As a single small business woman in a small town she probably just wanted for Chambers to leave her alone and move on… we are still trying to get the full story, but it’s not hard to figure out that Chambers got away with it because she refused to testify.

We received Chambers’ employee file from another town, Early, Texas, from a confidential source, and we are shocked that this man was allowed to keep his peace officer’s license.

POP: 2,588 according to the 2000 census 

In the fall of 2002, then-Officer John Chambers was trying to complete a probationary period with the Early Police Department. According to public records, he began his probation on July 8, 2002, the same day he was terminated from his position as Chief of Hawley PD.

The report raises serious allegations that should have rendered Chambers unemployable, but he continued to work in numerous police departments after that.

The most serious allegations involve a terrified 16-year-old high school student who had the misfortune of meeting Chambers after a car accident. It was the beginning of a surreal experience that resembled the story of a horror movie.

Chambers would wait for her after school, after work, and even followed her to a friend’s house. Chambers even had the nerve to knock after she ran into her friend’s house terrified ,and asked her friend where she was at.
According to a letter of complaint, Chambers continued stalking the 16-year-old girl even after he was told to stay away from her.

When he was confronted, he claimed he was following her because she hanged out with “druggies” and thought she would lead him to a bust 🙄
Despite the courage of the 16-year-old that came forward, Chambers was not charged with a crime. This was merely one of many reasons cited not to offer him a job, since he was on probationary status.

He was also banned from the Law Enforcement Center when a certain female employee was working, because he was bothering her… the sisters-in-law of a fellow officer also complained of sexual harassment by Chambers, according to the report.

It was only in the Rio Grande Valley that he was able to keep his job without being fired for little things such as stalking young women, sexually harassing co-workers, fabricating evidence, unprofessional conduct, abuse of power, violation of civil rights, etc.

The last entry John Chambers’ file with Early PD is a notification of a lawsuit filed by a man in 2003 after he was falsely arrested for having an outstanding warrant. It occurred on November 23, 2002, a day before Chambers was terminated 

In 2012, 116 residents of Indian Lake signed a petition to fire him. With a population of 640 people, as per the 2010 census, those 116 signatures represent roughly 18% of the population of Indian Lake at the time. The City Bosses didn’t care. 🤷🏽‍♂️

With the exception of his 3 years, 6 months stay at Hawley PD, Chambers was unable to hold a job longer than a year until he got to Indian Lake, where he was chief of police for 10 years… and was also it’s only employee most of the year.

He was fired in 2015 when he was arrested and charged with 14 felony counts of knowingly making false entries into government records.

COMPULSIVE LIAR

The employee file from Early, TX describes a man without ethics willing to lie to someone’s face, even if the person clearly knows it’s a lie. (read it and formulate your own opinion).

Not only did he lie about the authenticity of the newspaper article, but he is also paying to promote a fake news article in an online news site that was commissioned by backers of Sheriff Lucio.

The article claims all evidence seems to prove  Eric Garza is under investigation because he is supposedly financed by a cartel. Except, any person with half a brain that actually reads the article, instead of just the headline, would see that it doesn’t provide any proof of anything, as it claims.

The Early PD also describes how Chambers was caught lying about the circumstances that led to his termination from his position as Chief of Police of Hawley PD on July 8, 2002. 

It appears Chambers’ 2nd wife was caught having sex with inmates at the state prison she worked as a guard… Chambers admitted he knew of three occasions but failed to stop her. 

It’s hard to believe that John Chambers was nominated by the Cameron County Republicans, but it’s even more shocking that he actually has a chance to win.
The final handwritten note found in his file with Early PD is just as disturbing. It appears to be from a phone call the officer has with Hawley PD.
