Justice RGV

  A man is serving a four-month sentence in the Starr County jail without having committed an actual crime. He is being held in civil contempt for refusing to stop fighting for an inheritance that the courts ruled he had no right to claim because he is adopted. If this story wasn’t true, it would be absurd. STARR COUNTY, 1943 This story begins in 1943. The United States was in the middle of the second world war, and many young men in the country, including in Starr County, were getting ready to serve. In that year, Maria Lopez viuda de Pena, or La Tia Maria as she was known, made her final Will.  La Tia Maria never had children, but she raised her nephew Santiago, and she loved him as if he was her own son. Santiago was 19 years old in 1943, and he was drafted to fight in the second world war. And, it was in this historical context that La Tia Maria made the fateful decision that caused a series of events that landed Santiago’s son in the Starr County Jail 82 years later....

Murray Lee Blackwell's graduation from the GED program in prison in 2008. A Black man spent 10 years in prison accused of trying to rob a pizza delivery man in Harlingen to steal a pizza when he was 17-years-old. He grew up in a tough neighborhood and many in his family had drug addictions and criminal records… so no one doubted his guilt, not even the court-appointed attorney who lied to him and told him prosecutors had too much evidence against him and if he did not take the deal on the spot, the judge with a tough reputation would likely give him the maximum 20 years. The Chambers campaign is being funded with an unknown credit card. His company was bouncing checks in August... who is providing the credit? 🤔 John Chambers has filed only two campaign finance reports. The first one on January 15, 2020 lists a single transaction: a payment, on the same day it was filed, to Pink Ape Media from Brownsville for $33,330. The problem with that transaction is that the report was supposed to cover July-December 2019 only. 2ND SEMIANNUAL REPORT This report was due on July 15, 2020, and should have covered the period from January 1st to June 30, 2020, but Chambers failed to file.  According to the Texas Ethics Commission, a candidate is not obligated to file if his contributions or expenditures are less than $900; however, we know that is not the case since he paid Pink Ape Media $33,330 on January 15th. As many of you know, our original legendary @JusticeRGV page was censored by Facebook at the beginning of the pandemic. Our enemies were still celebrating what they thought would be our demise, when the new Justice RGV  page was reborn from the ashes, and it quickly gained back our followers.  The new Justice RGV page is about to reach 40,000 followers, while our sister page  RGV: Truth & Justice  is about to reach 64,000. Needless to say, we are stronger than ever.  Nonetheless, we are still saddened by the loss of the stories we exposed on the original legendary JusticeRGV page. In order to prevent that from happening again, we will be posting our best content in this blog.
